Proposition 2 to Encourage Veganism
California's passage of Proposition 2 has opened the door for animal rights activists to begin promoting a vegan lifestyle for California consumers. The animal advocacy group Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) wants to use Proposition 2 to help consumers be aware "of factory farm atrocities" and thus encourage them to eat fewer animal products.
