Take Heart!
From Christian Vegetarian Association (CVA)

Proberbs 12:10 (RSV)

A righteous man has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.

There’s no mercy whatsoever in the way God’s animals are treated and killed when raised for food. We show mercy to them when we choose not to eat them.

The Hebrew Scriptures forbid inhumane slaughter or cruelty toward beasts of burden, yet, all around the world, virtually all food derived from animals is obtained by causing pain and misery to God's farmed animals. Showing compassion and mercy to farmed animals should lead us to adopt a plant-based diet.

God calls us to be merciful to all His/Her creatures. Animal agriculture is a merciless industry and Christians should not support it if possible. If we do, we become accomplices of what God's farmed animals endure.

Humans are called to show compassion and mercy to God’s animals. Let’s do it one meal at a time by choosing plant-based diets.
