Agent Orange Being Used in the Amazon Forest

Ranchers in Brazil have started using Agent Orange, a highly toxic herbicide, to clear areas of the Amazon forest more effectively and more inconspicuously than with the conventional methods (tractors and chainsaws). During the Vietnam War, the United States military dispersed 12 million gallons of Agent Orange, impacting the health of some 3 million Vietnamese citizens, and causing birth defects in around 500,000 children. Additionally, the chemical's effects on the environment have been profound and lasting. Now, the devastating effects on the Amazon forest's flora, fauna and the environment will be seen for many years to come. The unethical and deeply devastating tactics of the animal agricultural industry should be considered crimes against God's Creation. Hopefully, more people we'll realize that unless we transition to a sustainable plant-based diet, humanity's fate, along with the rest of the creatures', is grim. We simply cannot expect our actions to have no consequences.
