Ethical veganism actively rejects the exploitation of nonhuman animals
for taste and profit. Especially, with the awareness of what factory farming
entails, the avoidance of meat products is not enough. In fact, the
production of eggs and dairy subjects cows and chickens to egregious abuse
that reaches unimaginable proportions.
For this reason, the consumption of all animal products should not be
considered as a personal choice. Animal products involve the commodification
and killing of sentient beings whose lives matter to them as much as our
lives matter to us.
Indeed, eating God’s animals cannot foster peace and harmony because it
involves exploitation and much violence. By rejecting the unnecessary abuse
and killing of God’s animals we are reducing violence and suffering to a
great extent, and therefore promoting peace and harmony.
