The results of a study comprising 2508 participants in the
government-sponsored Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young
Adults (CARDIA) study, shows that “women who reported eating eight
to nine servings a day of fruits and vegetables in their 20s were 40
per cent less likely to have calcified plaque in their arteries in
their 40s, compared with those who ate the just three to four
servings a day.”
Young women who eat veg healthier later.
This is yet one more study that shows that eating more
plant-based foods is beneficial for our health. If we let compassion
help guide our food choices we’ll find that a plant-based diet
causes the least suffering in God’s Creation.
