In an article published on August 1 (Ottawa Sun) we learned that
residents of the small town of Pendleton, Canada, are putting up a fight
against what it seems the imminent construction of a mega sow factory farm.

The residents of Pendleton raise the issue of odors and contamination that
this 3000-sow factory farm will certainly produce. However, what should be
distressing for us, Christians animal advocates and the population of
Pendleton, is the issue of animal cruelty involved in raising animals for
	food, especially in factory farms.

We know that in those kind of facilities sows live a miserable life as they
suffer abuse, pain and confinement that are unimaginable for most of us.
Their God-given rights are ignored and their plight goes unheard.
