Humane Eating?
		Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, founder of Compassionate Cooks (www.compassionatecooks.com), 
		offers a glimpse of the lives of animals raised for food and the 
		absurdity behind the term “humane eating.” 
		She exposes a simple truth: the animals we slaughter for food are 
		dying to live. Mrs. Patrick-Goudreau admits that most people who still 
		eat animals do not want them to suffer and that they will convince 
		themselves that the animal products they are purchasing are, for 
		example, “free-range” or “cage-free.” However, most do so not really 
		knowing what goes on in factory farms and slaughterhouses, thus avoiding 
		confronting the brutality and cruelty involved in raising and 
		slaughtering animals for food.
