US beef to Russia
On November 19th the official signing of a bilateral trade agreement
ending a Russian ban on U.S. beef took place. “Previously, Russia was
the largest export market for U.S. beef livers, and we look forward to
rebuilding this market once again," said South Dakota cattleman Ed
Blair, chair of the beef industry's Joint International Markets
Committee.

It’s very saddening to learn that that the US has found one more
place where to export beef. The hope resides in that consumers will
learn of the inherent cruelty of raising animals for food and the
negative effect this has on the environment and human health. God wants
us to follow Jesus’ teachings of compassion, love, justice and peace; a
plant-based diet helps us to fulfill God’s will.
