Wal-Mart Milk Hormone-Free
Due to costumer demand, retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced last week that its Great Value private-label milk brand is now being produced with cows that have not been treated with artificial growth hormones. Although the hormone is approved for use in the U.S. and the Food and Drug Administration (USDA) has said it poses no health risk to humans, safety concerns have not been dismissed.

Modern agriculture has resorted to artificial hormones and antibiotics to manipulate animals as commodities in order to increase profit and minimize cost, bringing misery to humans, animals and contaminating the environment.
The article above shows that consumers have great power when making their choices, and hopefully more of us will realize that dairy products are not only not necessary for a healthy diet, but that the industry causes unimaginable suffering to dairy cows and their calves.
