Australia Says No to Japan
Japan had asked Australian government to refuse anti-whaling ship "Steve Irwin" to dock at Australian port to re-stock before returning to harass Japanese whalers, to which acting Prime Minister Julia Gillard, standing in for vacationing leader Kevin Rudd, said there was no reason for the whaling-opposed government to accede to Japan's request. Although Japan is under a lot of pressure to stop whaling, most people in that country are indifferent to the cruelty involved in it. When we are indifferent to the suffering to God's animals we are not reflecting God's love in us. Hardness of heart in humanity is preventing the reconciliation of God's Creation.
