Animal Cruelty Might Lead to Criminal Behavior toward Humans
Throughout the US, state laws that protect pets from abuse have been passed due to the growing evidence that people who abuse animals often go on to abuse humans. Diana S. Urban, a Democratic state representative in Connecticut, who sponsored a bill mandating that animal control workers and child welfare workers cross-report suspected animal, child or domestic abuse said, “Animal abuse is one of the four indicators that the F.B.I. profilers use to asses future violent behavior..." Sadly, livestock is exempt from such laws and in many states such as Idaho, farmers and ranchers are pushing a bill that would more clearly distinguish livestock from pets and would exempt livestock from the protections afforded pets.

How hypocrite humans are when we offer protection and compassion only to certain animals according to our benefit. As for animals being farmed, never before have we abused so many and to such extent! God’s farmed animals deserve our compassion and mercy just as any other of God’s creatures.
