Ohio Care Board Approves Cruel Amendment
The Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board has approved that veal
producers in the Buckeye State be allowed to continue raising their
calves in stall confinement into 2017 and beyond. The board voted
6-5 in favor of removing language that would have allowed calves of
all ages to turn around. The amendment effectively allows calves to
be kept in individual stall pens that restrict turning around, up to
10 weeks of age, after 2017.

It is outrageous that farmers continue to abuse God's animals!
Unless consumers take a firm stand and stop supporting the veal
industry, a by-product of the dairy industry, practices like not
allowing veal calves to turn around for weeks will continue; thus,
creating unimaginable suffering for these young animals. Christians
are called to reflect God's love onto all Creation, which includes
showing love and compassion to God's farmed animals.
