In spite of the overwhelming evidence that the overuse of
antibiotics in factory farmed animals has been a major player in
increasing rate of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, the sad reality is
that this overuse of antibiotics is essential for industrial animal
agriculture to exist. Clearly, public health is not their concern,
nor the devastation of the environment. After all, animal
agriculture contributes more to global warming that all
transportation combined.

It’s really surprising how the meat, egg and dairy industries
have been able to rely on antibiotics without much control at all
and putting public health at risk. It’s obvious that it’s the
consumer the one who can ultimately put an end to this practice.
Without a demand for animal products factory farms would disappear.
This would be great news for all of God’s Creation!
