Rep. Steve King's Amendment to the Farm Bill is getting heavily
criticized and it's obvious why. This amendment seeks to undo state
laws protecting farm animals, which would obviously benefit those in
the animal-based agriculture business by allowing them to exploit
farmed animals without consequences. Moreover, the Fraternal Order
of Police has rightly complained that the measure would not only
affect farmed animals but that it would also “allow for the
proliferation of puppy mills, dog and cock fighting, kill shelters
and other animal cruelties.”

If Rep. King's amendment becomes law, everyone would be
negatively affected because it would allow cruelty and abuse to
God's animals to go unpunished, which hurts both, the perpetrator
and the victim.
