This is the Year of the Vegan!
2014 promises to be a great year for animal advocates. New York Magazine recently released an article hinting at 2014 as the "Year of the Vegan" titled Veganism in Seven Decades, featuring high-powered celebrities and highlighting the benefits of a plant-based diet for the whole planet.

The world is changing because people are changing the way they look at their food choices. Food is no longer simply used to satisfy hunger; it goes beyond convenience, taste and tradition. It affects the whole Earth: every creature and the environment. May this be the year where we reach the tipping point where the consumption of animal products is seen as a truly unethical, unsustainable and unjust practice.
